Méribel-Mottaret is easily divided into two separate areas:
Le Laitelet:
The larger of the two areas, Le Laitelet is located on the western side of the resort and extends from the centre at 1700m to Le Hameau at 1800m. The Chalets cable car provides free access to all of Le Laitelet and its residences during 8:45 and 19:30.

Within Méribel-Mottaret you will find the Tourist Office, cinema, night-club, bars, restaurants, small supermarkets and numerous sports shops and clothes shops.
The ski school meeting points are all located in the lowest part of the resort between Le Chatelet and Le Laitelet. There is also the children's club Les Piou-Piou for children between 3 and 5 years.

There is easy access to the shops and facilities in Méribel Centre via the free shuttle bus service, by car or by ski. The Parc Olympique is located in Meribel Centre with a swimming pool, ice-rink, Spa, gym, climbing wall, bowling alley and a night-club.
Situated at the summit of Méribel Valley, at the heart of the world's largest ski resort, Méribel-Mottaret has direct access to the 600km of pistes of the Three Valleys (Courchevel, Les Ménuires, Val Thorens) and the 150km of pistes in Méribel Valley.
Created in 1972, the resort of Méribel-Mottaret is mainly made-up of rental accommodation situated right on the edge of the pistes. The vast majority of accommodation offers direct access on foot to the pistes and you can leave your car in the indoor car park. Its compact size means that you can walk to all the facilities in Méribel-Mottaret.
Méribel-Mottaret has a homogeneous style of architecture which allows its wooden-clad chalets to blend harmoniously with the superb natural surroundings. The majestic Mont Vallon rises to 3000m above the resort which is surrounded by a forest of fir-trees and the Tueda Nature Reserve, part of the Vanoise National Park, with its lake, pine tree forest, cross-country skiing pistes and hiking trails.
