When we talk about the French ski resort of Tignes we usually think of the 3 ski resorts (La Lavachet, Le Lac, Val Claret) where most of the ski lifts up to the Espace Killy ski area start from. However, the village of Les Boisses, at 1800 meters, which was previously just a checkpoint on the road to Tignes for most tourists, has recently undergone a major development, which led to the birth of Tignes 1800!
